Pengaruh Model Cooperative Learning Tipe Time Games Tournament (TGT) Terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Peserta Didik MI Al-Khairaat Biromaru Kecamatan Sigi Biromaru Kabupaten Sigi

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Time Games Tournament

(TGT) Type Cooperative Learning Model. This research is a Quasi Experimental

research with a population of all class II students at MI Alkhairaat Biromaru.who were

also used as research samples. The research results obtained and average pretest and

posttest value where the pretest was 24,17 and the posttest was 70,63. Hypothesis testing

has shown that there is an influence on the initial reading ability of class II students at MI

Alkhairaat Biromaru. This is proven by the Lower and Upper values which are negative.

Where the Lower is -53,079 and the Upper is -39,838, and is significant (2-tailed): 0,000

< 0,05. This shows that, H0 is rejected which means Ha is accepted. In this way, there is

a significant difference between the initial reading abilities of class II students at MI

Alkhairaat Biromaru before and after using the Time Games Tournament (TGT) Type

Cooperative Learning Model. Practical implications for educators pay more attention to

the use of learning methods, with appropriate methods will make learning effective and

learning objectives can be achieved.
